‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brook Lynn Finally Slapped Lulu
And it looks like our girl Brook Lynn is off to a good start. In the June 16th episode of GH, she brought out her “Brooklyn” edge and proved that the place that is her New York “namesake” still strongly resonates within her.
Lulu was basically taunting Brook Lynn about Giovanni Palmeri (Giovanni Mazza), yelling at her long-time nemesis, “No wonder he doesn’t accept you!” It truly seems like Lulu was doing this to get revenge on Brook Lynn for trying to break up her relationship with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) over 110 years ago.
Brook Lynn had enough of Lulu’s attitude towards her, which was evident when she finally slapped Lulu after having to listen to her admit that she wasn’t the least bit sorry for what she did to her. Then, Lulu had the nerve to make a cruel comment to Brook Lynn regarding the state of her relationship with her son.
It’s been nauseating to watch Lulu judge Brook Lynn so harshly, as all Lulu has done is sit on her high horse with Brook Lynn, despite the fact that the choice she had to make when she was a scared, pregnant teen was brutal and gut-wrenching.
Brook Lynn never told Dante, as it was likely too painful for her to revisit the heartbreak she felt when giving up her child for adoption, and as far as Brook Lynn knew, her baby went to a loving home.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Lulu Has Zero Compassion For Brook Lynn
Instead, Brook Lynn found out right along with everyone else that Gio was her and Dante’s son. It simply wasn’t Lulu’s truth to tell. She has no compassion for Brook Lynn’s situation whatsoever.
Lulu refuses to take accountability for her poor choice to confront Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) at the Nurses Ball, which blew up everyone’s lives. What she did affected several people and deeply hurt Gio.
In Lulu’s self-righteous mind, she had every right to reveal Brook Lynn’s secret. Despite the argument that Dante deserved to know the truth, the way she cornered Lois in a public setting to boldly threaten her about something that was none of her business was wrong.
After all, Lulu is no saint herself and has made some mistakes of her own. If anything, she should be commending Brook Lynn for having the courage to go through her teen pregnancy. Lulu, more than anyone, should understand Brook Lynn’s pain.
When Lulu was 17 years old, she was pregnant by Dillon Quartermaine (then Scott Clifton), and while Lulu informed Dillon of her condition, she also made it clear to him that her choice to have an abortion would not be changed by him or anyone else.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Lulu Will Learn You Get What You Give
Now it looks like Brook Lynn will expose Lulu’s lies as she wants to give her “a taste of her own medicine.” Apparently, it coincides with the upcoming storyline involving the potential return of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Lulu is a hypocrite who claims to have never lied to her children.
Lulu knows what it’s like to want others to respect her decisions. She should have afforded Brook Lynn the courtesy of respecting her choice.
Brook Lynn also shouldn’t be made to feel guilty or wrong for keeping what she believed was a painful, personal decision between her and her mother.
