Emmerdale fans are convinced that they’ve uncovered the identity of John Sugden’s next victim
Emmerdale fans believe they’ve worked out who John Sugden’s next target might be, and it’s not Robert Sugden.
John (Oliver Farnworth) first made his appearance in the Dales back in August 2024, and has caused chaos throughout the village ever since.
The army medic is notably responsible for killing Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) after last year’s barn fire.
After Nate had a fatal reaction to medication administered by John, the villain disposed of Nate’s body in the lake where the infamous limo crash occurred.
But that’s not all, as John also drugged Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) in an attempt to frame Ella Forster (Paula Lane), and induced an allergic reaction in Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), reports Belfast Live.

John Sugden notably killed Nate Robinson last year
Recently, John has been plagued by nightmares after Nate’s body was retrieved from the lake by police last month.
On Monday (June 16), Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) expressed her gratitude to John for supporting her sister, Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh).
Soap fans will know that Tracy is currently under suspicion in the murder investigation after John planted Nate’s phone in her daughter Frankie’s (Eden Ratcliffe-Knights) playhouse.
Tracy was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder after Vanessa couldn’t provide her sister with an alibi for the night Nate died.
In another scene from last night’s episode, John confided in village GP Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) about his struggles with sleep, which he attributed to his concerns for Tracy.

John is framing Tracy Robinson for Nate’s murder
“That’s a lot to take on by yourself, John,” Manpreet said, with John replying: “Yeah, I know. But I have to, I don’t think Tracy’s got it in her.”
Manpreet continued: “It’s commendable that you’re trying to protect her, but are you absolutely certain that she’s innocent. Didn’t they find Nate’s phone in her house?”
John then said: “I know it looks bad, but our jobs mean that we’re supposed to help people, even the ones everyone else has written off. She’s suffering, she’s completely alone. That’s why she keeps texting me.”
Concerned for her colleague’s wellbeing, Manpreet gave John a helpline leaflet to give to Tracy to help alleviate the pressure from him.
Instead of giving Tracy the helpline’s details, John called the number himself and spoke to a call handler about the vivid nightmares he’s been having, while flashbacks of Nate’s death were shown on screen.

Emmerdale fans believe that Manpreet Sharma could be in danger
Now, several Emmerdale fans are convinced that Manpreet could be in danger at the hands of John.
Several viewers believe that John could harm the GP as she “knows too much” about his inner thoughts and feelings, which could implicate him in the murder investigation.
“Anyone else think Manpreet is next on John’s hit list? She doesn’t really have anything keeping her in Emmerdale now,” one person wrote on a Facebook fan page.
Another added: “This is definitely a shout after last night, she knows too much about John,” while a third said: “Manpreet needs to watch her back.”
A fourth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: “It’s been a while since we last saw Manpreet, so maybe her conversation with John is a bad sign of things to come.”
